  9. Datatype  for  PovRay  dump  format  images  (QRT style).  Currently uses a
  10. simple 24-to-8 bit conversion with static 3×3×2 (R×G×B) bit quantization.

  12. QRT format is not easy to detect since there is near to no type specific or
  13. constant  information  in the files PovRay creates.  This release tests for
  14. the following qualities:
  15.  
  16.   · File  size  must  match  height  and  width information.  Partial files
  17.     written by PovRay are rejected.
  18.  
  19.   · Line  numbers  must  start  with 0 and increment to image height - 1 in
  20.     sorted  order.  QRT does not explicitly forbid arbitrary line order but
  21.     PovRay produces lines in sequence --- take it as a "feature", it really
  22.     makes file type detection easier and safer.

  24. Installation:   Simply  copy  the  file  Classes/DataTypes/qrt.datatype  to
  25. SYS:Classes/Datatypes and files Devs/DataTypes/QRT#?  to DEVS:Datatypes and
  26. reboot.
